Welcome to Mina Elementary! 

I’m excited to begin another school year at Mina and continue building on the strong traditions that make our school so special. This year is especially meaningful as we open our brand-new campus after two years of construction and planning. Our new building represents an exciting new chapter for Mina, while honoring the rich history and community that have made this school a cornerstone of Bastrop for generations.

This year marks my 17th year in education. Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of roles that have shaped how I lead and support students, staff, and families. I began as a classroom teacher and RTI teacher before moving into campus leadership. Along the way, I have served as an Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal, experiences that have strengthened my belief in the power of high-quality instruction and strong school communities.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, where I studied at the Priscilla Pond Flawn Child and Family Laboratory and discovered my passion for early childhood education. I later earned my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.

I believe deeply in the power of the elementary years. This is where students build confidence, discover their strengths, develop critical thinking skills, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. As principal, I am committed to creating a school where every student is challenged and supported, every staff member is valued, and every family feels welcomed and connected.
